Although they came in second overall, BTS had the most engagements out of any group, surpassing Fifth Harmony, who had the most engagements for a female group.

The result is based on the average number of retweets per tweet, for which they received an average of 152,112 retweets. The numbers were taken from May 2017. Since then, the group’s engagement has risen to 217,283 retweets, surpassing Harry Styles, who currently has an average of 173,327 retweets, according to socialblade.

The incredible achievement is thanks to the group’s fan base known as the “Army,” who previously helped the group win Top Social Artist at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, beating Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, and Shawn Mendes. Their win made Billboard history, as BTS became the first K pop group to receive a Billboard Music Award.

BTS, who is also known as “Beyond the Scene,” is a seven-member boy band from South Korea formed by Big Hit Entertainment. They received recent commercial success with their album Wings, which they promoted around the world with a tour across Asia, North, and South America. Their next project, titled Love Yourself: Her is their first to be available through Amazon. The change will make their album eligible for the Billboard charts.

As of August 31st, the number of pre-orders for Love Yourself: Her exceeded over 1 million copies, not including international sales. This is more pre-orders than their previous album for Wings: You Never Walk Alone, which had 700,000 copies sold. BTS continues to break records as they have also become the first K pop group to achieve over 1 million pre-orders for an album.

Love Yourself: Her will be available on September 18th. To pre-order the album through Amazon, click here.
